Learn English with ESL radio and TV

English in Action: English Language Bridging Program

English Level: Advanced

This program highlights a course of study that aims to 'bridge' the gap between study techniques required by Australian universities and the student's universities at home.

Learning Ideas from ESL Radio and TV

Make a weekly plan

Write a plan of your goals for the week. A balanced plan could include some listening, some reading, some writing and some speaking. You could include some grammar or you could focus on the grammar that you find in the four skills mentioned above. If you have a particular weakness or you find something interesting in one skill area, then your weekly plan could focus on the different sub-skills in that area, e.g. if you focus on listening you could use ESL Radio and TV to practice listening for gist, listening for detail and note-taking.

ESL radio and TV has been designed to help English language learners improve their listening skills. The interactive quizzes have questions and feedback that are designed to instruct rather than merely test.
